Thank You Volunteers!

We would like to thank all volunteers who came to our volunteer appreciation event in October and to all our other volunteers who worked with us through the year. The dedication of our volunteers is what makes our organization function and allows us to help keep Allegheny County beautiful. This year we’ve had over 900 volunteers put in 2800 hours. That is well over the number of hours that a full-time employee would put in over the course of a year! Through their hard work, 422,700 lbs of trash and debris have been removed from the county and properly disposed.

Abdul A., Eric H., Annabel F., Sami K., Terry D., Ron V., and Jane O. have put in at least 25 hours with Allegheny CleanWays. These volunteers put in at least 50 hours of time with our programs: Gary S., Jack N., and Laura Z.. John E. put it over 75 hours since February and John Cokley has put in over 200 hours. Our volunteer of the year, Hannah Grace, put in over 300 hours and our top overall volunteer, Dave Limbacher, has put in over 400 hours over the last few years!

Congratulations to all our volunteers and everyone else who has put in time with Allegheny CleanWays through Urban Eco-Stewards, the Tireless Project, DumpBusters, group cleanup events, or other participation through our organization. Thank you for your time and enthusiasm in keeping Pittsburgh beautiful!
