It's the time of year when we begin planning and scheduling our 2015 Tireless Project season. Each year at this time, we reach out to groups we think might be interested in joining the project for the upcoming season.
Our current partners include Allegheny Land Trust, Friends of the Riverfront, Nine Mile Run Watershed Association, REI, RiverCubes.net, Rivers of Steel Heritage Area, Steel City Rowing Association, the Student Conservation Association, and Venture Outdoors. Many of these organizations have been part of the Tireless Project from the beginning, while others just joined us in the past few years. We are very grateful for our current partners and are happy to continue the Tireless Project just as it is, but we never want to exclude anyone who might be interested in being part of a larger effort to steward our rivers and streams.
This year, in hopes of being as inclusive as possible, we thought we'd ask you - our friends, supporters, volunteers, and associates - for your help in identifying like-minded organizations who might want to be part of the Tireless Project. If you are associated with an organization or business that cares about the health and beauty of the rivers and streams of Allegheny County, please let us know. We'd be happy to talk with you about the requirements of being a partner and explore whether or not it's a good fit for your organization.
Please contact Lindsey at lindsey.waugaman@alleghenycleanways.org for more information or to suggest someone we should contact.
