Allegheny CleanWays will participate in a Roundtable discussion on Pittsburgh’s Litter & Illegal Dumping problem. This is part of the Mayor’s on-going series of meetings between the City of Pittsburgh and key players on the topic of litter and illegal dumping in the region. The goal of this event is to work towards common strategies to combat these longstanding issues. This invitation-only roundtable event is on July 9th at 9am.
The roundtable will include representatives from city departments, local nonprofit and community organizations, members of the Clean Pittsburgh Commission, and more. It will comprise of short presentations by us, the Clean Pittsburgh Commission, City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works, Pennsylvania Resources Council, and Duquesne University Professor, Erik Garrett, followed by a discussion around focus topics by the larger group. Residents can submit questions that they’d like to see answered at the roundtable via the city’s Mind Mixer page.
The event will be rebroadcast on the City Cable Channel (Comcast 13, Verizon 44) and the City YouTube Channel; so you will be able to view the proceedings in the upcoming weeks.
