Leah Thill recently became the new Project Coordinator for Allegheny CleanWays in September 2012. Leah will be managing many cleanup and beautification events over the next year. Leah is working with us for a year of service through PULSE (Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience). PULSE cultivates a community of servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh by inviting talented university graduates to live in community and partner with local non-profits for a year of service and leadership.

Joe Divack was hired as the DumpBusters coordinator in March 2012. Joe started volunteering on his own to clean up illegal dumpsites in 2009 and later worked with Allegheny CleanWays in 2010 to develop the DumpBusters program. Joe and a small group of volunteers go out nearly every day to tackle illegal dumps of all sizes and remove an average of 900-1200 lbs of debris daily. Thanks to a very generous donation from the Babcock Charitable Trust and an individual donor, we were able to purchase this 2008 Ford F-150 to replace the 1992 Toyota that died on us last year.
