It's the time of year when we begin planning and scheduling our 2015 Tireless Project season. Each year at this time, we reach out to groups we think might be interested in joining the project for the upcoming season.

Our current partners include Allegheny Land Trust, Friends of the Riverfront, Nine Mile Run Watershed Association, REI, RiverCubes.net, Rivers of Steel Heritage Area, Steel City Rowing Association, the Student Conservation Association, and Venture Outdoors. Many of these organizations have been part of the Tireless Project from the beginning, while others just joined us in the past few years. We are very grateful for our current partners and are happy to continue the Tireless Project just as it is, but we never want to exclude anyone who might be interested in being part of a larger effort to steward our rivers and streams.

Pennsylvania Resources Council utilized the Rachel Carson with our boat captain, Evan Clark, to create an excellent ad campaign about litter and its impact on the Pittsburgh area. We are excited to have been involved in the filming of this campaign that fits so nicely with our mission to Keep Pittsburgh Beautiful.

Mayor Peduto recently gave his support to our becoming the local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. With his show of support, we are well on our way toward launching our Keep Pittsburgh Beautiful Campaign. A committee of ten volunteers, staff, and board members has been working on the campaign and a logo design contest that will be launched soon.
